| Structure | Team structure has 2 team leads that rotate as deployed team leads depending on operation (Blitz or 12-hour operational periods). There is also a support team that runs logistics from a fall-back position and that is staffed by 2-4 people with 1 lead. Teams are run overall with a rescue team manager and each squad has a squad officer. For medical operations we have 1 lead doctor and usually have 2-4 doctors for deployment as well as nurses and paramedics. The team also has a 24-hour staffed and manned command post that is always operational back in the United States. The team has its own air assets and boat assets that can deploy anywhere in the world and can insert to any area by air, rotor, water or skydiving. Team is self-sufficient and does not require any reimbursements for any of its operations. We also have SAT COMMS of various sorts and can assist with airport runway COMMS or EOC COMMS if needed. Team has all technical rescue cache needed for an all Hazards approach. |
