| Structure | The DERRT structure operates on the MCI Principle with an overall Team Leader. However, the overall structure is flexible depending on the needs of the current situation with the ability to disperse into small sub-teams. DERRT has teams suitable for rapid deployment to SAR, Advance Reconnaissance, Public Relations, Communications Infrastructure, Logistical Support, Medical Support, Damage Assessment, and Relief and Rehabilitation support. Each sub-team are self-contained at least for 2-weeks or more if needed. Each team member have been fully trained and certified with sills necessary for the anticipated disaster environment. All team members are trained to the intermediate to advance levels of SAR, medical training, relief operations, survival, MCI and handling and emergency operations and procedures. |
