The Training Working group acts as an advisory body to the INSARAG Secretariat and USAR teams, supporting INSARAG training-related initiatives. The TWG designs, reviews, and implements training standards for approval by the INSARAG community.
The group identifies training gaps in the field of USAR in collaboration with INSARAG, UNDAC, and the wider disaster response community.

Custodian of Training
The TWG is the custodian of five INSARAG training namely:
- USAR Coordination Course
- USAR Coordination Course Training of Trainers
- IEC/R Leadership Course
- First Responder Course
- Community Responders’ TrainingÂ
Provision of Support
The TWG provides support on training standards and methodologies for the following INSARAG courses:
- ICMS Course
- IRNAP Leadership course
- International Earthquake Response Exercise (IERE)Â
